Kiana Taghavi
Kiana Taghavi is the Executive Coordinator of the Columbia Center for Contemporary Critical Thought and the Program Coordinator at the Initiative for a Just Society.
Kiana graduated cum laude from Columbia University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. While at Columbia, Kiana focused her studies on the intersection of political theory and criminal justice and coordinated programming for the Justice-in-Education Initiative. During this period, she worked for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, the New York Civil Liberties Union, and the Vera Institute of Justice. She also served on the Student Advisory Board of the Eric H. Holder Jr. Initiative for Civil and Political Rights.
Prior to joining the Columbia Center for Contemporary Critical Thought, Kiana served as a Program Coordinator at Columbia Law School.
